Origin: Cascades of Oregon and Washington.


Flavor Profile: Floral with a sweet citrus flavor easily extracted with a heat/simmer.

Application:  Great in jams, concentrates, syrups, stewed, or sun dried these red beauties bring out a wonderful citrusy floral flavor in any dish.


About:  Many ornemental roses have been genetically modified to no longer produce fruit but rather hold onto their flowers for longer. Wild roses still produce what we call "rose hips" a citrusy bearing fruit that's picked between thorns after pollenation.  Extremely high in Vitamin C.
