Origin: Wild from the Berici Hills of Italy.
Flavor Profile: The summer truffle is very similar to a winter black truffle but more delicate in flavor. Crisp in consistency; earthy with hints of hazelnut, pine, and oak stemming from the roots of host trees.
Application: Freshly sliced or warmed to emit a more savory profile; a great addition to any pasta, meat, bruschetta, charcuterie, creamy soup and sauce. Interestingly delicious with sweets like vanilla-bean ice cream or a few slices on your bagel with cream cheese and honey.
